Primo Zanasi is an obscure beatmaker, a multi-instrumentalist and a vintage and analogic gear collector based nearby Bologna. During last years he has produced large amounts of ultra-limited edition cassettes – all identified by a very specific and original sound – that circulated among a small group of followers, becoming kind of a real Underground cult.

“Con Occhio Benigno" is probably the first Christological Beat-Tape in Italian Hip Hop history. Most of the samples were taken from a well-known Italian radio specialized in religious broadcasts. It's about a sound collage that becomes a semi-serious reflection on our country's Catholic tradition.

The material was recorded during a very intense production session in which Primo Zanasi composed several beats for Prince Metropolis Known and Kool Keith, a legendary American rapper and Ultramagnetic MC’s former member.

All tracks are short and range from hammering raw Hp Hop beats to more abstract and expanded moments. Everything sounds lo-fi – it's thanks to the gears the beatmaker works with that run at 12-Bit.

The cover's artwork is a handmade collage by Primo Zanasi himself, created by cutting and assembling various holy cards and sacred images.

The album “Con Occhio Benigno” by Primo Zanasi is Spalato Wyale's second release as an independent label and has been realized both in digital format and cassette.
